NHL: Boston Bruins Center Marc Savard Cleared To Return In Second Round

News

After suffering a concussion on March 7th and missing all but 41 games this season, playmaking Center Marc Savard has been cleared to return to the lineup for the second round of the NHL Playoffs.

Bruins owner spoke with reporters Tuesday afternoon and said that Savard passed all medical tests to be cleared to play and it was up to Head Coach Claude Julien to decide whether or not Savard would be ready to play or not.

“He’s an elite player,” said Chiarelli. “He’s been chomping at the bit to play. The fact that we were able to clinch and give him time to get acclimated and give him time to get full practices in is beneficial to him and the team.”
