While LeBron James isn’t close to selecting a team to sign with (and can’t until July 1), he will say that the Cavaliers do have the edge right now.
In his interview with Larry King, which will air Friday, King asked if Cleveland has “an edge going in”?
LeBron replied “Absolutely. Because, you know, this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years. And, you know, for me, it’s comfortable. So I’ve got a lot of memories here. And so it does have an edge.
“It’s going to be a very interesting summer and I’m looking forward to it.”
Also from the interview…
On Mike Brown’s firing: “So it’s unfortunate. I wish him the best and I think he’s going to have a great coaching career.”
On the Free Agent Summit: “I am the ringleader.”
On consulting family, friends, and advisors: “It’s going to be me. I’m going to have to sit down and say ‘where do you want to play’?”
