Main Bouts (On Spike TV):
Jamie Yager vs. Rich Attonito
Ref: Steve Mazzagatti

Round 1: The two show respect and touch gloves. The two have a feeling out process of trading low kicks (Yager) and right crosses (Attonito). Attonito tries to neutralize Yager’s kicking offense by pressing him against the cage and gets the takedown. Yager quickly gets back to his feet and the action slows down a bit. Attonito is doing a great job counter-striking Yager’s low-kick with a right cross that sent Yager rocked, backing to the cage multiple times. Horn sounds and the round is over.

Verdict: Attonito is not letting Yager get inside and continuously counters his kicks with right crosses. The round easily goes to Attonito, 10-9.

Round 2: Slow start with both men showing signs of being gassed early, but in the middle of the round both men pick up the action and connect some solid punches. Attonito connects a killer right hook with Yager against the cage. Attonito has found his distance, and with Yager’s arms dropping due to fatigue, is picking him apart with punches. Yager drops to the ground after eating a few punches, Attonito takes his back and fails a rear naked choke attempt. He still has the back and the hooks in with a minute left. Rich flattens out Yager, and pounds him with punches until Mazzagatti stops the fight.

Rich Attonito defeated Jamie Yager via TKO (punches) Round 2, 4:25

Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver
Ref: Kim Winslow

Round 1: Both open with low kicks, more-so for a feeling out process than offense. Fisher nails Siver downstairs, and the fight pauses. Spencer Fisher is doing a good job setting up his punches with low kicks, and connects with a nice body kick. Siver sends Fisher a few steps back after a front kick to the face. Siver has a cut over his left eye, but it shouldn’t be a factor unless the fight goes to the ground. Fisher connects again over the left eye, and it now looks like the blood is flowing into Siver’s eye. Siver is going back to the front kicks, trying to keep his distance until the end of the round. Horn sounds, it’s end of the the round. After replay, Siver’s cut was caused by an accidental head-butt. Brutal.

Spender Fisher takes the round, 10-9.

Round 2: We are half-way through the round and the pace has slowed down. Siver catches Fisher’s leg after an attempted body kick, and knocks Fisher down with a solid punch. Fisher is back to his feet and with a minute left, it looks like we are going into the third round. Horn sounds and it’s official, we are going into the third round.

Dennis Siver takes the round, 10-9. He secured with round with the knockdown and some deep body kicks.

Round 3: First half of the round has been extremely even. Siver’s speed is giving him the round right now, but neither man has landed anything serious. They exchange a flurry of punches, but neither man connects a hard shot. Siver’s cut is reopen, and it’s looking nasty. Fisher lands a hard knee, and they go all out until the sound of the horn.

Dennis Siver takes the round, 10-9.

Dennis Siver defeated Spencer Fisher via Decision (Unanimous)

POST YOUR RESPONSE: Should Keith Jardine retire if he loses tonight?

Chris Leben vs. Aaron Simpson
Ref: Josh Rosenthal

Round 1: Round opens off with no serious strikes, but Simpson catches Leben off guard, scoops him up and slams him down on the ground. Leben gets back to his feet, but is still in a vulnerable position and gets hit with some knees to the top of the head. Leben escapes the guillotine attempt, and the two are now just trading positions being pressed against the cage. The two are in the clinch, and Simpson slams Leben on the ground again. Simpson connects some punches before Leben gets back to his feet. Leben is clearly out of it as he takes a look up at the clock with 1:30 left in the fight. Back in the clinch, Simpson lands a couple knees to the body and Leben is pressed against the cage again until the end of the round.

Aaron Simpson takes the round, 10-9.

Round 2: Leben is getting frustrated and is just grabbing the back of Simpson’s head and trying to rock him with left hooks. Simpson is doing a good job eating the shots and countering with punches of his own. About 10 fans in the crowd start a failed Leben chant. Simpson is ROCKED and is flailing all over the cage, barely able to stand up. He took about 5 shots to the head standing, got knocked down and ate a few shots on the ground. Rosenthal stops the fight in the second round, and Leben is the victor.

Chris Leben defeated Aaron Simpson via TKO (punches) Round 2, 4:17

Matt Hamill vs. Keith Jardine
Ref: Herb Dean

Round 1: Long feeling out process. Hamill lands a couple uppercuts, using his dirty boxing and the two separate, and it’s back to the feeling out process. Jardine is landing some good looking kicks, including a leg kick that you could see effected Hamill. Towards the end of the road, Jardine abandons the leg kicks and goes for the one-two combo. The horn sounds, and the rounds done.

Keith Jardine takes the round, 10-9

Round 2: Both fighters clearly respect each other’s stand-up game, as they are keeping their distance. Jardine lands a couple more brutal leg kicks, but Hamill is still showing no sign of pain as he walks on the leg. Jardine is the aggressor this round as Hamill is counter-striking. Hamill connects with a few good punches, a nice high kick, and Jardine’s mouthpiece falls out. Jardine accidentally pokes Hamill’s eye, and the fight has paused. Hamill is asked if he can continue, and gives the thumbs up. Herb Dean takes away a point from Jardine due to the severity of the eye poke. Fight resumes, and both men are duking it out. The horn sounds, signaling the end of round two. Jardine is busted open, and both of them are gassed.

Matt Hamill takes the round, 10-8.

Round 3: Hamill lands a takedown a minute into the round, gets Jardine’s back and almost sinks in a rear naked choke. With the blood literally pouring out of Jardine’s head like a fountain, Dean pauses the fight and they take a look at the cut. The doctor lets the fight continue and the pace noticeably slows down. Two minutes left. Matt Hamill hits a hard knee. That’s the last serious strike of the fight as the horn sounds.

Matt Hamill takes the round 10-9.

Matt Hamill defeated Keith Jardine via Decision (Majority) (29-27, 29-27, 28-28)

Court McGee vs. Kris McCray
Ref: Mario Yamasaki

Round 1: McGee is getting the advantage in the striking game so far, and he takes down McCray. McGee has McCray pressed against the cage, hits a couple of heavy punches and takes McCray down again. McGee lands a killer right hand, and lands right in half-guard. The fight gets back to the standup game, but McGee has McCray pressed against the cage again and lands ANOTHER takedown. McCray is realizing he’s being outclassed in all aspects of the fight and is swinging for the fences, only to get caught again. Horn sounds, round’s over.

Court Mcgee takes the round, 10-9.

Round 2: A flurry of punches from both men opens the round, but none of them connect. They’re back in the clinch, and McGee connects with some nice strikes. McGee takes down McCray AGAIN… and lands in full mount. McGee isn’t really posturing up, and just seems to be trying to tire out McCray with lots of moving around. Three minutes left. McCray gives up his back, but moves to his feet quickly before McGee could get the hooks in. McGee takes him down again, this time with a sick double leg slam. McCray gives up his back again, and with one hook in, Court McGee sinks in the rear naked choke. McCray tries to roll out of it, but is right in front of the cage and has nowhere to roll. Yamasaki stops the fight, and Court McGee is your Ultimate Fighter!

Court McGee defeated Kris McCray via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) Round 2, 3:41
