Niedermayer won the Stanley Cup 4 times, the last being in 2007 with the Ducks and a the olympic gold twice with Canada.

Niedermayer turns 37 in August retired briefly in after 2007, but is making it official and permanent this time.

Niedermayer player 5 years for the Ducks whom he joined to play with his brother Rob.

Niedermayer finished with 172 goals, 568 assists for 740 points in 1,263 games played, and won the Norris Trophy in 2003-04 as the league’s best defenseman.
