Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, DC Animated Version of Jeph Loeb's Supergirl Story

News

So a few weeks back I reported something about the next DC animated movie being Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, due to information cribbed from the Red Hood package. Today I bring to you updates! Including the storyline, the release date, and even a voice actor!

Hitting DVD and Blu-Ray on September 28th, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is the thematic followup to the hit Superman/Batman: Public Enemies both in style, and the fact that in the book Superman/Batman they were arcs one and two.

That’s right! Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is going to be the modern introduction to Supergirl, a visual retelling of the Jeph Loeb and Michael Turner arc.

And on top of all of that?

SUMMER GLAU IS SUPERGIRL!

Oh, and Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly will be voicing Batman and Superman. That’s pretty cool too.
