“Godzilla” Gabe Ruediger to Make Return at UFC 118

News

He didn’t mean to come off as a “heel” that season, but The Ultimate Fighter season 5 veteran (who may be best known for his use of a colonic to make weight after being seen chowing down on cake and ice cream and missing weight for his fight against Corey Hill) Gabe Ruediger (17-5) is rumored to replace Terry Etim at UFC 118. Etim suffered a broken rib and has had to pull out of the his clash with Joe Lauzon. While the official word hasn’t been come out from UFC, MMAFighting.com is the first with the news.

Ruediger’s only contest in the Octagon saw him on the receiving end of a brutal loss to Melvin Guillard due to a body punch, but since then, he’s wracked up an impressive 7-2 (with a six fight win streak) record. The fight between the two former TUF 5 castmates is expect to make the Spike TV prelims for the show.
