MLB News: Washington Nationals Pitcher Stephen Strasburg Headed To Disabled List

News

The Nats are just hoping it’s not too bad.

Strasburg suffered a strained forearm in his last start. After one MRI the team placed him on the DL and scheduled another MRI. The next MRI will also be a dye test which is generally a test for the elbow ligament.

For now, the Nationals are still calling Strasburg’s injury a flexor strain in his throwing arm.

“He’s anxious to find out what’s going on,” Nationals GM Mike Rizzo said. “He felt good today. His elbow felt good. … To say he’s little anxious, a little emotional would be fair to say.”

Strasburg is 5-3 with a 2.91 ERA and 92 strikeouts in 68 innings.
