Davis had a huge year last year and now joins the list of players to sign just prior to the start of the season.
Davis and 49ers agreed to a 5-year $37 million extension with $23 million in guarantees making him the highest paid TE in NFL history.
Davis, who was drafted sixth overall by the 49ers in the 2006 draft. He lead all TEs lat year with 13 TD catches.
