Streit suffered a shoulder injury crashing into the boards during a scrimmage over the weekend. According to reports, Streit tore his labrum and rotator cuff and will miss at least 6 months.
In two years with the Islanders, Streit has recorded 27 goals and 78 assists. He was the Islanders leading scorer in his first season, and lead the teams defense in scoring last season.
