Fedotenko is a two time Stanley Cup Champion who the Rangers hope can help lead the team where they want to go.

The Rangers and Fedotenko have agreed to a one-year $1 million contract on Monday. Fedotenko had been with the Rangers in preseason, scoring 1 goal and 6 assists which was good enough to be tops on the team.

Fedotenko played in Pittsburgh last season, his ninth in the NHL. He had 11 goals and 19 assists in 80 games.

Fedotenko won a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning with current Rangers head coach John Tortella.
