Which Veteran Actor Might Play Uncle Ben In The New Spider-Man Movie?

News, Top Story

Deadline is reporting that Martin Sheen, known for his work in films such as Apocalypse Now and Gettysberg, as well as his time portraying the President of the United States on The West Wing, is a done deal to be playing Ben Parker in the upcoming Spider-Man remake.

In this bloggers eyes, Sheen playing Uncle Ben is akin to Marlon Brando playing Jor-El in the original Superman movie, and can only be seen as a good thing.

Deadline is also reporting that the studio is after Sally Field to play Aunt May, which would only serve to make things that much better. Two veteran actors playing the roles of Peter’s aunt and uncle would go a long way to making this movie even better.
