Turtle power shall dominate Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XXI when it gets released in 2011. Shout! Factory announced that all five of the Gamera episodes will be featured in a unique boxset. For years this event seemed impossible since TV distributor Sandy Frank had only contempt for the Satellite of Love. What changed to make this event happen? Shout! Factory now distributes both Mystery Science Theater 3000 and the original Gamera movies.
The titles include Gamera, Gamera Vs. Barugon, Gamera Vs. Gaos, Gamera vs. Guiron and Gamera Vs. Zigra. These were the best of his eight original battles. No news as to any bonus features or if it will feature a Gamera figurine.All five films aired during the third season which means this is another boxset of all Joel Hodgson episodes although Michael J. Nelson does make an appearance.
