If you are a fan of The Bachelor or have watched any ABC shows recently, you probably have seen this promo promoting the upcoming season of The Bachelor ad nauseam. You know the one where a woman slaps Brad Womack in the face and says “This is for every woman in America!”
Well that girl is Chantal O’Brien. She is the first girl out of the limo who slaps Brad. While ABC and Bachelor producers would love for to believe that she came up with this idea to get back at Brad for having the gall to not propose to any woman the first time he was on the show, that’s not the case. Chantal was obviously told to do that and did not come up with that on her own. It’s almost a guarantee that the minute ABC cast Brad they planned for the first girl to slap him so they could run it as their first promo of the season.
Let’s be clear, this wasn’t serious, because Chantal makes it past the first cut on the first episode. Also, the sound of the slap you hear on TV is fake. That’s a sound effect and not the actual sound from her hand hitting his face.
Chantal DOES NOT hate Brad and she DOES NOT represent “every woman in America”? In fact, when March 14 arrives, she could become the MOST HATED WOMAN ON EARTH! That’s right. Let me spoil the ending for you right now. Brad Womack proposes to Chantal O’Brien in the end!
