According to Cheadle himself, via MTV News, while he won’t be showing up in The Avengers, that a spin off of Iron Man is being developed for him to star in featuring the character he portrayed, James “Rhodey” Rhodes….The War Machine. MTV caught up with the Boogie Nights actor at Sundance over the weekend and got a brief interview out of him, during which he verified that the movie has already found a writer. As well as that Rhodey is too much of a lone wolf for the Avengers….which to me just means the movie was already overloaded with stars.
So who out there would go see Don Cheadle as War Machine in his own movie? I know I would.
