Goodridge finally paid by FEG, announces retirement

News

In one of the most famous cases of FEG not paying their talent on time, Gary Goodridge has finally been paid by Japan FEG Management. This means it took over a year for FEG to pay Gary Goodridge for his bout back at Dynamite!! 2009 against Gegard Mousasi.

After waiting patiently and contacting FEG inquiring them about where his money was, he brought the MMA internet community into the picture when he posted a thread on The Underground Forums back in November 2010 filling them in on his situation. The Underground forum posters brought it upon themselves and made a (rightful) ruckus and tried their hardest to get in touch with management, whether it was Mike Kogan from FEG USA or different sources throughout Japan, they made their voices heard. Just today (1.27.11) he announced he has finally been paid, “thanks to The Underground”. Later on in the thread, Gary Goodridge stated “Also, I am retired now. For good!! Thanks for the memories :)”.
