Well this story keeps getting weirder. After the story broke that Nate Marquardt would not be fighting on tomorrow’s UFC television special on Versus, Dana White posted this video clip on his twitter. In the video clip White publicly fired Nate Marquardt saying that the former King of Pancrease and UFC Middleweight Title challenger would not be seen in the Octagon again.
As you can imagine speculation is rampant about what caused White to fire a fighter who had been seen as an office favorite. The obvious speculation is that Marquardt was ridiculously above 170Ibs but the UFC has shown a remarkable tolerance for other fighters missing weight.
