Chael Sonnen and Lyoto Machida won’t be meeting in the center of the octagon anytime soon, as Chael Sonnen’s return to the UFC will be in a middleweight bout against Brian Stann at UFC 136.
Sources close to both parties have confirmed the news that the fight has been verbally agreed upon and all they’re waiting on is for the contracts to be issued.
Due to the fact that two title fights are already rumored for UFC 136 (Aldo vs. Florian and Edgar vs. Maynard) the bout between Brian Stann and Chael Sonnen is expected to be a headliner or a co-main event.
