It’s Spike TV for Matt Hamill vs. Alexander Gustafsson

News

Matt Hamill, having stepped in for Vladimir Matyushenko to face Alexander Gustafsson, is going from the UFC 130 main event to Spike TV prelims in one fight. That’s pretty sad considering the state of UFC 133 and the lack of “big” bouts.

UFC 133 features the rematch between former UFC champions Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz after their UFC 73 draw. “UFC 133: Evans vs. Ortiz II” takes place August 6th in Philadelphia.

Hamill will be fighting for the first time since his loss to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 130. He was undefeated in his previous three matches before that bout.

Gustaffson has posted consecutive submissions after rattling off seven KOs in his first nine bouts.
