After the epic disaster that was 2010’s attempt at crafting another film version of The Nutcracker, Variety is reporting that Universal and Peter Chernin (of Rise of the Planet of the Apes are going to tackle it again.
What does this mean? With Apes developing a substantial buzz, it’s not all that shocking that Chernin would want to push for something like this. A proper Nutcracker film could make a killing at the box office, as it is a revered play that’s been around for some time.
