Cris Cyborg vs. Hiroko Yamanaka: Unstoppable Machine vs. …Former Dominatrix?

News

Cris Cyborg probably didn’t anticipate this matchup when she resigned with Strikeforce last month. During the Friday evening broadcast of Strikeforce Challengers 19, it was announced that Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos would be defending her 145 lbs. title at “Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Masvidal” on December 17th against Jewels star and the last Smackgirl Open Weight Champion, Hiroko Yamanaka.

That’s not the most interesting part about the fight, however. As it turns out, a simple glance at this lady’s Wikipedia page offers some pretty revealing details about how she got into MMA:

“Before entering into MMA, Yamanaka was a dominatrix and worked in a SM club for four and a half years. She used the name Chiaki in catfights when she was working there. She didn’t have sports experience and started to train in MMA because she thought that it would help her in providing a better service to her clients.”

Wow. Well, if things don’t work out against Cyborg, Yamanaka will still have something to fall back on. And, hey, what average guy say that they’ve been front kicked in the gut by a professional fighter before?
