Pundits have been saying for over two days that Carlos Condit stepped aside so that Nick Diaz could step into his originally proposed title fight with Georges St-Pierre. Evidently, that isn’t how his camp it.
Carlos’ agent, Malki Kawa, had this to say on behalf of the former WEC Welterweight champion:
“Carlos Condit didn’t just step aside. GSP is choosing to fight Nick.” Well, Dana is choosing to promote Nick. He said he’s sure White is going to make it worth Condit’s while.
Regardless of how it happened, Condit no longer gets the first crack at GSP.
