UFC 137 Earns $3.9M Gate, Bonuses to BJ Penn, Nick Diaz, Donald Cerrone and Bart Palaszewski

Saturday night’s UFC 137 saw Nick Diaz’ return to the Octagon after 5 years away from the company. His return was successful as he defeated BJ Penn via unanimous decision (Diaz set a record for “significant strikes” landed) and both fighters earned “Fight of the Night” honors, netting both $75,000 in the process.

Donald Cerrone earned $75K as well for his first round submission of Dennis Siver in the “Submission of the Night” and Bart Palaszewski earned the “Knockout of the Night” award and similar $75K bonus for his win over Tyson Griffin.

The event drew an announced attendance of 10,313, bringing in a live gate of $3.9 million.
