- Nothing really mind blowing out of DC or Marvel on the digital market this week, but I have a lot to say about indy companies.
- I like the fact that digital comics went up on several days this week. Granted, it was only one series or one comic, but I still it's pretty cool. Comixology should take the time to promote that kind of thing.
- I find it very amusing that Image posted more digital comics on the same day as print release than they added back issues this week. Good for Image. I don't understand why Image doesn't publicize their digital efforts more.
- IDW is another "indy" company that continues to make a dramatic impact on the digital market. Not only are they putting a ton of stuff up, but at really great price points. Lots of dollar or two dollar back issues in the IDW library. They even put the first issue of Doctor Who Classic up for free!
- I have been curious about The 99 for a while. Amusingly enough, like fifteen years ago, a friend and I had been working on a superhero group that consisted of something like 100 characters. While short lived, I really liked the mindset around AK Comics to give Middle-Eastern characters a big market. I definitely would like to check The 99 out. I haven't read it yet, but I did download the free sample issue.
