After being heralded as Jay Cutler’s replacement to being benched for Tim Tebow, Kyle Orton has been released.

The Denver Broncos released Orton yesterday, six weeks after benching him following a 1-4 start. Tebow has gone 4-1 as a starter for the Broncos, who have tailored their offense to his skill set and have reintroduced the option to the NFL.

The top three possibilities to pick up Orton are the Chiefs, Bears and Texans.
