Grey’s Anatomy is unquestionably one of the best shows on television and it is primarily because it breaks new ground. First there was the musical episode (which you could argue was a Glee rip-off) and now the show is planning an alternate reality episode (Fringe anyone?)
In the February 2012 Sweeps episode, the show will explore what would have happened if Meredith’s mother never had Alzheimer’s and, more importantly, what would have happened if Derek and Addison never broke up. Kate Walsh is reportedly set to guest star on the show for the episode. Others are expected to return including characters who might have “died” in previous episodes.
