World Wrestling Entertainment is loading up on compilations and retrospectives for the fall and winter months and to kick things off the sports-entertainment giant will unleash The Rock Vs. John Cena – Once in a Lifetime on DVD and Blu-ray on September 11.
Both releases will include an expanded version of the one-hour documentary that aired on NBC Universal in North America in the week leading up to WrestleMania XXVIII. The doc gives the full one-year story of the build up to their epic match – from the very first promo. It also explores the iconic Superstars long, emotional paths toward their match, and gives viewers a glimpse into The Rock and John Cena’s daily lives, training regiments, and the personal choices and histories that led them to the defining moment of their careers.
The UK distributor Silver Vision recently unveiled the contents of both the DVD and Blu-ray, plus BD exclusives – including something I wish WWE would include in more of their home video releases.
