Exclusive: Photos Of CM Punk: The Best In The World DVD

Disc Announcements, News, Top Story

Some know him as “Chick Magnet” Punk or “Chicago Made” Punk. But most know him as CM Punk (aka “The Best in the World”). Raising havoc inside the squared circle as far back as the mid-1990s – first in a backyard federation before competing in such independent organizations as IWA Mid-South and Ring of Honor, and in Japan.

CM Punk has been a WWE superstar since 2006 when he debuted on the July 4th episode of ECW on SciFi. He may be on the top of wrestling world now, currently holding the WWE Championship for an impressive 323 days and counting, but there was a time where he struggled to find his place in the world of sports entertainment. (Must be hard for a “wrestler.”)

On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, WWE releases the first DVD about the Chicago native. Titled CM Punk: Best in the World, the three-disc DVD set (or two-disc Blu-ray set) includes a near two-hour documentary about the WWE superstar with comments from his closest friends in and outside of the ring, including Colt Cabana, Ace Steel, Joey Mercury, Chris Hero, and Paul Heyman.

Having watched the documentary twice already, I will tell you that it is near the top of WWE’s best-produced documentaries. At worst, it’s in the top five. At best, it is #2 right behind the documentary for The Rise and Fall of ECW.

To drum up some interest, as if it needed any, for this much-anticipated title, I’ve taken a few photographs of the DVD set, plus included some screenshots from the DVD release.
