Beginning in 2007, the Philadelphia-based independent wrestling promotion Chikara has presented a yearly tournament dubbed the “King of Trios.” The three-day tournament features wall-to-wall six-man tag action that pits different styles and at times different promotions (previous years included factions from TNA, ROH, PWG) against one another.
This year the tournament was held September 14-16 at the Palmer Center in Easton, PA and featured Hallowicked, Ultramantis Black, Fire Ant and Green Ant, plus a number of former WWF superstars (Tito Santana, Tatanka, Marty Jannetty and the 1-2-3 Kid) and tag teams of the ’80s and early ’90s, like the Powers of Pain (Warlord and The Barbarian) and Demolition (Ax and Smash).
The King of Trios was produced by Smart Mark Video and the company has cut together a quick, 30-second spot to promote the 2012 event’s availability on DVD, VOD and Digital Download. (Click here to visit the Smart Mark Video web site.)
