A beloved classic DC Comics hero returned this week just in time (coincidence?) for Forever Evil #6 ships next week and promises to answers some big mysteries in the event series. The character, based on his history, seems like a perfect fit for the time-bending DC Comics year-long weekly event series The New 52: Futures End including several Fall 2014 spin-offs?
The character is one of the Top 10 time anomalies in the DC Comics New 52 and has been speculated to be, but not by me, to be the Earth 3 hooded prisoner of the Crime Syndicate in Forever Evil.

With the kick-off of Future’s End #0, Booster Gold was part of the Justice League International Annual #1 that seemingly sets up OMAC / Brother Eye’s role in The New 52: Futures End.
Forever Evil #6’s solicit and the related checklist, that issue promises to wrap up most of the big mysteries that surfaced in the series:

The identity of the Earth 3 Crime Syndicate’s Hooded Prisoner. The likely candidates have been identified. - The finale fate of Nightwing. The likely fates have also been noted.
- The identity of the Earth 3 destroyer now on the “Prime Earth” of the DC New 52. The likely culprits have been identified.
- How Forever Evil bridges to the five years into the future weekly series The New 52: Futures End. How that appears to be done is noted here.
Is Booster Gold’s return simply a coincidence? I think not.
