Here’s hoping they were watching each other’s matches.
Just three days ago, Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal were victors at UFC on FOX 12 and today it was announced that the pair will face off against each other at UFC 178 Jones vs. Cormier on September 27 at the MGM Grand.
Both fighters won their respective last fights by decision. Green (23-5) topped Josh Thomson on only nine days notice that has catapulted him into the crowded lightweight division’s Top 10. He has won his last four UFC fights.
Masvidal (27-8) was knocked down by opponent Daron Cruickshank in the first round of their clash on Saturday, but the stumble only served as a wake-up call as he went on to secure a unanimous decision, improving to 5-1.
