Dana White Says His Best Decision ‘Ever’ Was To Bring Women Into The UFC

With the first all-female edition of The Ultimate Fighter set to debut next month, Dana White went on the record over the weekend to say that bringing women’s MMA to the UFC was the best move he has ever made.

“I’m really, really excited and proud of this season,” White told MMAjunkie. “The best decision I ever made was to bring women in (to the UFC).”

The UFC decided to go in a different direction with this being the 20th edition of the reality show that sees the winning fighter usually secure a six-figure contract with the company. The new all-female season will also serve as the official introduction of the women’s strawweight division with the winner of the show also winning the inaugural title in the 115-pound division.

TUF 20 wrapped its last episode on Thursday and White offered high praise for the show.

“(The fighters are) technically unbelievable,” White said. “We had two fights yesterday, and both fights were unbelievable. Great fights, really technical. These girls are nasty. I can’t tell you how pumped I am. It’s really fun. There are a few girls on this season that remind me of (UFC women’s bantamweight champion) Ronda (Rousey). They have that killer instinct.”
