Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson says Dana White lied about the money he made.
In the lead up to UFC on FOX 10 in January 2013, Dana White said that Jackson earned $15.2 million from 2007 to 2012.
“The UFC put a big number out there, that I made so much money over the years,” Jackson recently told Fight Hub. “Honestly, I don’t believe that it’s true. They lie about a lot of stuff.”
Jackson said that after leaving the UFC, he didn’t have enough money to retire on. As a result, he was forced to sign a new fighting contract with Viacom and Bellator after he lost to Glover Teixeira at UFC on FOX 10.
“If I just quit fighting for the UFC and retired, no, I wouldn’t be able to retire for the rest of my life,” said Jackson. “I don’t think I would have, just because of how many kids I’ve got and stuff I plan on doing. I would have kept doing movies and stuff, but that’s beside the point.
