Paul Heyman & Brock Lesnar Returning to WWE Earlier Than Expected

News

Originally, Brock Lesnar was scheduled to return to WWE for Summerslam 2015, where he would challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

However, due to changes in creative and the wrestling landscape just since Wrestlemania 31, WWE has decided to bring Brock back sooner.

Brock, with manager Paul Heyman, is now set to return to WWE after the Money in the Bank PPV to build up to the July PPV, Battleground.

Thusfar, Brock has been announced for these dates:
6/22 Raw in Indianapolis
7/6 Raw in Chicago
7/13 Raw in Atlanta
7/19 Battleground PPV in St. Louis.

In addition, Brock will be working on the July WWE tour of Japan. Brock is currently booked to wrestle Kofi Kingston in a singles match, as part of a loaded house show on July 4 that will air on WWE Network

The announcement of Lesnar in Tokyo saw ticket sales, which were only going so-so, then sell out immediately.

This is not so much a business move as something Lesnar asked to do since he and Brad Rheingans wanted to go to Tokyo to see Masa Saito, who is not in good health, and Lesnar figured that since he was going there that it makes sense to do some work while over there.

Brock worked for New Japan in 2005 and 2006 and wasn’t a huge draw, wrestling the last time in Japan in 2007 against Kurt Angle.
