Mad Max: Fury Road Arrives To Digital In August, Blu-ray Coming In September

A fuel-injected adrenaline rush to action cinema, Mad Max: Fury Road rushed onto the scene at the start of 2015’s summer blockbuster season and made quite the impression. Now it is nearing its home video release, this according to Warner Bros.

Adopters of digital media can take advantage of owning it on Digital HD beginning August 11, while collectors of hard media can pick up the Blu-ray combo pack beginning September 1. Both releases will include over 90 minutes of special features.

Warner Bros. will also release Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray 3D and as part of a Blu-ray Anthology that also consists of Mad Max, The Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max (Tom Hardy) believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron). They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
