Matanza Cueto Suffers Injury During Saturday’s Lucha Underground Tapings

Lucha Underground superstar “The Monster” Matanza Cueto required stitches for rupturing a vein during a match on Saturday for the show’s tapings in Boyle Heights. He punched a window, causing the injury. Believers in the audience report that Jeff Cobb – the luchador’s real name – bled heavily and the match was cut short.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. and Dragon Azteca, Jr. brawled with “The Darewolf” PJ Black and Johnny Mundo to make up for the extra time while Cobb was rushed to the hospital. Cobb can’t wrestle again until his five stitches come out, and he won’t be taking bookings over the course of the next week. Thankfully, sources claim that he should be good to go by the next taping weekend.
