Titans has been a mixed property for DC Comics for years. They weren’t Teen Titans anymore and they weren’t ready to fill in their mentors’ shoes. However, DC Comics Rebirth IMHO provides the most promising platform for this team. This opening arc, and perhaps the rest of the series, feels like its a team lead by Wally West as the Flash and the story is very Wally-centric. That’s a plus and the other team members have solid page time despite Wally West’s prominence.
Titans #1 ended with someone other than the Watchmen’s Dr. Manhattan (spoilers here) revealing himself as the true thief of the Titans memories and the missing 10 years of the DC Comics Rebirth universe. Plus we saw Wally West’s pre-Flashpoint wife Linda Park, now younger, unmarried and not knowing Wally West or his Flash, starting down a path to get closer to him, but not for the reasonms you may think (same spoilers spot here). Titans #2 continues the take of this team this week!
