Venom #17 Spoilers and Review.
The book opens with Eddie Brock falling.
Through which readers get caught up on what happened to him during the Dark Web event.
Eddie finally lands and becomes his Bedlam personality.
He’s attacked by Techno-Demons.
They attempt to infect him with the techno-organic virus.
However, Eddie’s Bedlam persona proves too strong, too savage even.
Bedlam is then confronted by Darkoth the Death-Demon who purports to be the Ruler of Limbo despite the Dark Web event establishing the Goblin Queen Madelyne Pryor as still Limbo’s liege.
He attackes Bedlam with a mystical sword.
Bedlam responds by attaching his webbing to the sword and then realizes he’s been actually injured by it.
In a rage he seems to impale Darkoth.
Then seemingly beheads Darkoth.
However, death doesn’t last for Darkoth who impales Bedlam in return!
It causes some kind of chain reaction with his body that seems to sever Bedlam from Eddie Brock or even destroys Bedlam.
Darkoth leaves as his work is done.
Readers than catch-up with a right eye bereft Eddie Brock, just like Bedlam was, in “The Next Place” as opposed to Limbo.
It would seem that the Venom symbiote is ready to bond with him again noting Eddie needs a hand figuratively with a Venom hand actually physically manifesting.
In my opinion, Eddie needs a new physical eye more which may be coming as per the cover of the next issue.
Next Up.
Despite the “To Be Continued” language to end this issue instead of the “To Be Concluded” language, the next issue promises of the beginning of a new arc and the issue after that promises the Eddie Brock’s “most powerful form yet” with Bedlam seemingly in the rearview mirror.

Battered, beaten and brutalized across nearly all of space and time, Eddie Brock’s grit, determination and faith have wavered at times, but never broken. Here he reaches True Enlightenment, and you Venomaniacs will meet his most powerful form yet…
The Pulse.
An impactful issue on story and art. It seems Bedlam may be gone, Meridius (another form of Eddie Brock, but from the future) may be somewhere, Eddie’s son Dylan (bonded with a Venom symbiote) appears MIA, Eddie Brock may become just (a?) Venom again, but another powerful persona is yet to emerge. Despite the strong doppelgänger elements of the story since this fifth volume for Venom began, it’s been rather accessible, entertaining, emotional and action-packed. A solid read despite ending leaving more questions than answers. 8 out of 10.
