Marvel Comics Legacy and Secret Empire Spoilers for Secret Empire #7 follows.
Secret Empire #7 came out two weeks ago and now we have Secret Empire #8 (spoilers here); Marvel really doesn’t want this mini-series to ship late like other big events of the Marvel modern era. Glad to see that commitment. So, thank you Marvel.
The book opens with the usual summary page and…
…dramatis personae.
The Avengers and all-powerful heroes in space continue to try to crack the shield “protecting” Earth, so they can join the battle against Captain America and Hydra, to no avail.
We also have “a” Steve Rogers and “a” Red Skull in the Vanishing point; they are in pain and through inflicting more pain Red Skull thinks he is giving Steve Rogers a gift and will help him leave this limbo. Remember that; Steve Rogers in Vanishing Point is in pain.
We then learn how Madame Hydra saved the Captain America, leader pf Hydra, in the “real world”.
Then a flashback to that elderly man from many issues before; Inhuman Mosiac possesses him. That elderly is the key to defeating the Secret Empire. Who is he? Many speculating its elderly Nick Fury, but I’m not that sold as I thought he was some kind of astral celestial type all knowing being in Marvel now; although I stand to be corrected.
In the modern day “real world”, Avengers Resistance Black Widow fights Secret Empire’s Punisher and we learn what Captain America promised him to get him on this side; an army to wage his battle on crime.
Then we get to the moment that has been prophesied and hyped for months. Will this scene happen in this issue?
