Wrestling Inc. reports that the spot Kurt Angle had in the Royal Rumble Match was originally slated to go to Zack Ryder. They say, “Angle was given the spot that was originally planned for Zack Ryder, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.”
Angle did nothing of note in the Rumble Match and then lost to Baron Corbin the next night on RAW.
