Big Trouble In Little China Will Be Huge In December

Disc Announcements, News

When John Carpenter decided to make an film that fused Kurt Russell with Chinese action, he went huge. He wasn’t going to merely pay lip service to the Shaw Brothers cinema. Big Trouble In Little China was a lethal thrill ride about the time trucker Jack Burton (The Thing‘s Kurt Russell) helped his buddy Wang Chi (The Last Emperor‘s Dennis Dun) pick up his bride to be at the San Francisco airport. While this should be a nice romantic moment, things go bad swiftly as Chinese gang abducts her. Jack and Wang have to go deep into the Little China district to rescue her. But this isn’t just about gangs, there’s Chinese mythology involved. David Lo Pan (Kung Fu Panda‘s James Hong) isn’t the normal crime boss. Big Trouble In Little China is whirlwind of bullets, fists and quips from Jack. Over the decades the film has built a loyal cult following. Now Scream Factory is coming out Big Trouble In Little China: Collector’s Edition in various combinations for the collector’s of every level.
