DC Comics Universe and Batman Annual #4 Spoilers and Review follows.
Ok, THIS Happened?! Is Alfred Pennyworth Dead Or Alive?
This issue is basically revealing what almost two months looks for Batman.
Everyday is a new adventure…
…including traditional crime and…
…super-villain stuff…
…as well as reality bending from the outgoing writer of the ongoing series.
Nice seeing Alfred Pennyworth again though despite him being dead in the main series.
There were some cool scenes in the issue, but overall it didn’t seem relevant to core series’ long-unfolded arc(s).
I was admitted confused as I mistook this annual for the upcoming Detective Comics Annual #3 out on January 29, 2020 hat will deal with a grieving Bruce Wayne over Alfred Pennyworth’s death.
Odd that fallout from a Batman storyline would be dealt with in an Detective Comics annual. Anyhow, here’s the TEC annual solicitation in case you missed it.

Of all the mayhem and madness that “City of Bane” visited upon Batman’s world, the death of Alfred Pennyworth had the greatest impact. As Bruce struggles to pick up the pieces of his life, the absence of the man who had always helped him is felt with devastating consequences. With new storm clouds brewing on the horizon, does Bruce Wayne have what it takes to honor his dearest friend’s memory?

The Pulse:
Not a day, but days in the life of Batman. It felt like it wad done before and I stated it didn’t feel relevant to the core story the writer has been telling in the main book. Good art though. 4 out of 10.
