  • Negan Lives – I was very excited to learn, just the other day, that Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, and the Walking Dead gang are getting together to do this Negan one-shot, that was never properly solicited. I miss The Walking Dead so much, I’m even excited about a book focused on my least-favourite character in that title!
  • All-America Comix – I thought that Ms. America Chavez was a very cool character from the moment Joe Casey introduced her, and while a lot has happened with her at Marvel over the years since, I’m still curious to see what he would have done had he retained control of her, which is more or less what this Image one-off looks to do.
  • I’m also excited about new issues of Protector and Vampirella. This is a very small week, but it’s mighty!

Matt Graham – Oh wow, All America drops this week?!

Fulton –  Supposedly.

Matt – I asked you about that almost a year ago to the day.

Fulton –   Really? Weird.

Matt – It has been a long time coming. I think before I moved, even.

Fulton –   I remember it was announced a long time ago.

John Babos

Super small week.

  • Crisis On Infinite Earths Paragons Rising Deluxe Edition HC
  • Empyre Preview Magazine

Really small week!

  • Billionaire Island #2 (Of 4) – Mark Russell loves political commentary in his comics, but still manages to keep them entertaining and never heavy handed. It’s been months since the first issue, and I don’t really remember it beyond that I definitely enjoyed it.
  • Boys Dear Becky #2 – The Shazam homage in this first issue was vintage Ennis. I am not sure The Boys needed a sequel/prequel, but it’s still great to have it.
  • Fire Power By Kirkman And Samnee #1 – Kirkman seems to be a limitless fountain of comic ideas. Fire Power sort of sounds a little like Iron Fist, but I know he will bring a fresh spin to it. Owen Johnson’s journey to China to learn about his birth parents eventually leads him to a mysterious Shaolin Temple. The students there study to rediscover the Fire Power, the lost art of throwing fireballs. A power they claim will be needed soon to save the world. Will Owen Johnson be the first person in a thousand years to wield the FIRE POWER?
  • Hawkeye – Freefall #6 – Hawkeye vs Bullseye!!
  • Supergirl #42 – DC books coming out on Tuesday really throws me off, but I got to read this before posting this week’s column. Supergirl has been a pretty solid series, and it really felt like this came to an abrupt end.
  • Ravencroft #5
  • Star #5
