Spoilers

DC Comics and DC Future State: The Flash #1 Spoilers and Review follows.

Wally West Flash Killer Again!

TWO Big Deaths!

The book also has a cool WW84 variant cover.

Plus Checkmate Returns and Speed Force Suicide Squad Debuts?!

The book opens with Checkmate attacked by the Flash Family who steal the Thinker’s thinking cap, but…

…Bart Allen Impulse is killed in the process of this seeming suicide mission!

This Speed Force Suicide Squad doesn’t have time to mourn as they needed the cap to build a new weapon to…

…help redeem, free, whathaveyou a seemingly evil Wally West the Flash!

They connect with Wally mentally and realize…

…he’s been taken over by Famine; while his psyche seems trapped in his body, he can only look on as…

…he kills Jay Garrick Flash of the Justice Society of America (JSA)!

Again, the team doesn’t have long to mourn as…

…the Barry Allen Flash will use all the science he has to take down his one-time sidekick!

The Pulse:

So, Wally West has now directly or indirectly led to or facilitated the murders of New Teen Titans teammate Roy Harper Arsenal / Speedy in 2018/19’s Heroes in Crisis and now Bart Allen Impulse of Young Justice and Jay Garrick Flash of the JSA. This mistreatment of Wally West continues to baffle me as he is a whole generation or two pf reader’s primary Flash. Nonetheless, I hope Wally can be redeemed whether here or in Infinite Frontier. Art was solid in this issue, but that cover logo is terrible. 7 out of 10.
