Marvel Comics and Taskmaster #5 Spoilers and Review follows.

An End Is Nigh, But…

…Whose Side Is Taskmaster Really On?!

Black Widow is about to kill Taskmaster because she thinks he killed S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Maria Hill, but she reveals herself as alive.

Hill duped everyone including Nick Fury Jr. over the mission to…

…take down the Rubicon Trigger.

Taskmaster grudgingly says he’ll help, but perfectly mimicking the voices of the three folks he heard during the series, but…

…he activates the weapon orbiting Earth because he knows the assembled braintrust can disable it plus he wants to escape them and remind them that he’s as bastard.

The Pulse:

A ho-hum series, sadly, as it had lots of potential. Art was ok as was Taskmaster’s actions over the last few pages. A choppy issue and series though. 4.5 out of 10.
