DC Comics & Batman: The Detective #4 Spoilers & Review: Batman Duped?!

Spoilers, Top Story

DC Comics and Batman: The Detective #4 Spoilers and Review follows.

Batman…

…Duped?!

We open with our older Bruce Wayne having been arrested for his friend’s murder and seeming tied to other murders, but…

…he deliberately wanted to be captured to…

…to assess the evidence.

Batman remembers all of this victims because he saved them before; I didn’t know Batman had that kind of recall for a long career as crimefighter.

However, he realizes very quickly these aren’t really cops and…

…that point is made painfully clearly quite literally.

He had feigned being unconscious so he could escape and…

…self-medicate!

He wakes to learn about more murders and attacks done by those donned in white Batmen costumes led by a Batwoman.

He then gets access to what he needs…

…a mobile Bat Cave!

We also learn Oracle is still around and he asks her scrub any surveillance of Bruce Wayne who was interrogated a police station, but not be real police.

They also appear to track down the Batwoman villain as Batman ask Oracle to activate something called the “European Alliance of the Bat” as Squire does her best to soak this all in.

The Pulse:

Another solid issue on both story and art sides. My only gripe is I would have liked more OG Batman, but Oracle resurfacing was pretty cool. A captivating issue. 8.5 out of 10.
