Batman fights for his life against a new breed of Peacekeeper, augmented with his family’s own technology! The only person who might be able to save his life is…Lucius Fox?!

In a battle with the new Peacekeepers…

…the next Batman’s mask is damaged and Lucius can tell that he’s his son Jace Fox FKA Tim.

Fox causes a surge in the armor rendering it inactive…

…allowing the next Batman to prevail.

The book ends with father and son having a heart to heart…

…with father noting he will seek professional help with his mental health and son noting…

…he’s moving to New York City.

The Pulse:

The Next Batman will now carve his own path and legacy in the Big Apple no longer hiding his ethnicity. Most of his family will be in NYC as well as his dad presumably stays behind in Gotham City, but is a Zoom call or FaceTime away. Action, intrigue and drama abounded in this issue and the art serviced the story well. 7.5 out of 10.
