The original Candyman will come after you in 4K UHD in May.

Disc Announcements, News

If you say his name five times in a mirror, you’re not going to have a fun time in Chicago. Now he’s going to scare you with a higher resolution when the original Candyman arrives on 4K UHD in May. Clive Barker (Hellraiser) wrote the original story although it was based in England. Director Bernard Rose brought the story to the Second City and a tale of how a tortured black artist (Tony Todd) returned to haunt the Cabrini-Green buildings after he was killed by his white girlfriend’s rich father. Now you can see deeper into the shadows of the buildings. Don’t say his name after you push play. Here’s the press release from Shout! Factory:

The myth of Candyman has endured for generations. His legacy is eternal rage.
