The focus of About My Family should be rising star Sebastian Maniscalco who plays Robert De Niro’s son. But what gets me is David Rasche is part of the film. Over the last few years, Rasche is appearing in so many films and TV shows. He was essential to HBO’s Succession. Those of us from the ’80s remember him as the iconic Sledge Hammer in Sledge Hammer! The TV series had him as an out-of-control cop who thinks Dirty Harry didn’t go far enough. Now he’s working with De Niro after he watching the Roy kids go up in flames. What a great career. Generations collide in this hysterical comedy starring Sebastian Maniscalco and two-time Oscar® winner Robert De Niro (including Best Actor, Raging Bull, 1980).
