Back in the ’90s, the erotic thriller was a major genre although mostly on late night cable TV and straight to video. You’d walk into a non-Blockbuster videostore and see steamy posters for films you never knew existed. The imagery and the name made you consider renting them instead of the big Hollywood film. Other times you’d find the films on Cinemax After Dark on the weekends. SkinMax revived 10 of these tawdry tales with a series of double feature DVDs. The good news for 2024 is that SkinMax is giving us another 10 spicy movies on 5 double feature sets. The first batch arriving in March includes the legendary Different Strokes that starred Dana Plato of Diff’rent Strokes.
