Wallpaper Wednesday: Get Well Soon, Jerry “The King” Lawler

I know it’s not technically Wednesday yet but I wanted to get this up as soon as possible.

I only worked for the WWE for a short period of time but I was lucky enough to work with one of my ideals numerous times. He was kind, professional, calm and always smiling. Last night, 9/10/12, while watching Raw, wrestling legend Jerry “The King” Lawler collapsed because of an apparent heart attack. As of Tuesday evening, Lawler is said to be currently sedated and on a respirator following surgery to place stents into his heart with the plan is to take Lawler off the ventilator as soon as possible. The ventilator is to provide breathing support to assist the body following surgery.

I’ve always had the up-most respect for Jerry Lawler, having grown up seeing him in the ring and listening to him on commentary, something I always wanted to do. When I was able to work with him, it was an absolute dream come true and were certainly some of the best times I had at the WWE. Get well soon, Jerry. Millions of people are praying for your swift recovery because honestly, the wrestling world just isn’t right without “The King’s” voice on Monday nights.
